Are you ready? First up — Ethiopian Berbere Lentils, a quintessential dish that captures the essence of Ethiopian cuisine… spicy, spicy, spicy! It is usually eaten with injera made from teff — hence, the teff chips — a perfect combination; and is so easy to cook. So… let’s go!

1/2 onion (chopped)
2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
3 teaspoons of Ethiopian berbere (to taste)
1/4 cup water
1/2 tomato (chopped)
1 cup lentils (boiled)
3 cloves garlic (chopped)
1 teaspoon sea salt (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/2 jalapeno (sliced in half)

Heat pot on medium high heat; then add ingredients in order of video.
Pair with a bag of The Original Teff Chips. Enjoy!

NOTE: the amount of Ethiopian berbere and sea salt you use is optional, according to your taste. It’s your preference.
