Marinated and Sautéd to perfection. This dry tibs is a staple in Ethiopian Cuisine. Often eaten Injera or with rice. Sure to please all your taste pallets. Ingredients and Directions Below:

The Marinade:
– 2 pounds Beef Cubes
– 2 Medium sized Onions Diced
– 2 Ginger-Garlic Cubes ( link for that post is posted above )
– 2 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
– 1/2 tbls hawaj or spice mixtures
– 2 tbls berberé
– 1/2 Tbls salt
– Juice from 1/2 a lemon
– 1/4 cup oil

Instructions:

– Combine all of the ingredients above in a large bowl. Mix very well, cover and refrigerate over night or for a minimum of 4-6 hours.

Cooking instructions:

1. Add Oil or Melted Ethiopian butter to hot pan
2. Add marinated meat
3. Let it cook for 10-15 mins on medium -low covered. Checking and stirring occasionally
4. Check to make sure the most of the liquid has evaporated
5. Check meat for tenderness ( do a taste test or poke one piece of meat with a knife).
6. Once satisfied, toss in jalapeños and fresh rosemary.
7. Turn heat off and enjoy with Injera!
